Diane S. Burmeister, age 52, of Seymour passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Cherry Meadows in Appleton with her family by her side.

She was born on July 12, 1955 to Carl and Gladys (Winkelman) Schwister in Appleton. Diane graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 1973. She was united in marriage to Allen Burmeister on August 4, 1979 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Black Creek.

Diane enjoyed flower gardening and was known to be the picture taker in the family. She was a dedicated employee at Humana Insurance in Green Bay for 20 years.

Diane is survived by her husband Allen; father Carl Schwister of Seymour; sister Nancy Bruhn of Appleton; and brother Carl Jr. (Traci) Schwister of Seymour. She is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law: Myrtle (Louis) Kutchenriter, Clintonville, Oliver Burmeister, Shawano, Ivan (Shirley) Burmeister, Marion, Linda (Alan) Stuart, Hortonville, Lyle (Alice) Burmeister, Black Creek, Aaron (Sue) Burmeister, Seymour, Dennis (Doris) Burmeister, Black Creek. Diane is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Schwister; father and mother-in-law Ray and Dorothy Burmeister; and brother-in-law Gordon L. Bruhn.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 4 to 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Jeffrey Suhr officiating.
