Dolly Jean (Sasman) Baehman, age 68, of Black Creek passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Good Shepherd in Seymour. Dolly battled cancer for 13 years. She was born May 22, 1947 a daughter of Alvin "Happy" and Georgine (Schmidt) Sasman.

Dolly spent her childhood on the family farm in Black Creek. She graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School. Dolly has been a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Black Creek.

On May 29, 1968 Dolly was united in marriage to Bruce Baehman.

Dolly worked with her husband on the Sasman family farm, having continued a long family tradition and over a century of farming. She enjoyed life on the farm and enjoyed the daily routine of milking cows, feeding calves, and whatever else needed to be done. Over the years she also worked at Zwicker Knitting Mill, Touchmark Assisted Living, and TNT Liquidators.

Dolly was an accomplished seamstress, having used her talents to make her own wedding dress and thousands of other sewing projects throughout her life. She was also very proud of her beautiful flower gardens. Dolly was able to provide for her family by using her gardening, cooking, canning, and baking skills.

Most importantly, Dolly was a faithful wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and was a cherished daughter and sister.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce; daughter, Jessica (Jason) Goszkowksi and their children, Jarek and Jaelin; son, Seth (Lisa) Baehman and their children: Hunter, Connor, and Alivia. Further survived by her mother, Georgine Sasman; siblings: Linda (Michael) Wisniewski, Connie (Ruebin) Kroger, Charlotte Sasman (special friend Chuck), and Rodney (Michelle) Sasman; in-laws: Karla (Bruce) Kehl, Dean (Barb) Baehman, and Cindy (Jack) Uhlenbrauck. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, special godchildren, aunts, uncle, cousins, many friends, and neighbors.

Dolly was preceded in death by her father, Happy Sasman; grandparents, mother and father-in-law, Len and Mae Baehman; and brother-in-law, Steve Baehman.
