Dolores Mary Semrow Griffiths, 84, was taken to her eternal rest on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, in Appleton, WI. She was born on April 29, 1933, to Clarence and Dorothy (Huhn) Kronschnabel. As a child Dolores lived in several locations around the Fox River Valley before graduating Salutatorian of her high school class in Shiocton in 1950.
Dolores enjoyed using her God-given gift of voice. She was active in church choirs for many years and served as soloist for a number of weddings and church functions. Over the years she loved sewing, golfing, watching the Packers, card games and time with friends and family. Above all, though, was her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dolores married Lloyd Semrow on September 26, 1953 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Freedom, where together they managed a farm for many years. In addition to farming, Dolores worked outside the home as an Executive Secretary for Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Managing a work/life balance was one of her many gifts. Following Lloyd’s passing from cancer in 1983, Dolores moved to Irving, TX to continue her career with Kimberly-Clark. While in Texas she met and married Raymond Baum. They moved to Las Vegas in 1992, where Ray died in 1997. In 1999 Dolores returned to her Wisconsin roots where she became reacquainted with Robert Griffiths. They were married April 20, 2001.
Dolores is survived by her four children: Terry (Carol) Semrow, Layton, UT; Kathy (Curt) Campbell, Mesa, AZ; Jim (Denise) Semrow, New London, WI; and David (Sarah) Semrow of Bentonville, AR; along with six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her husband Robert, and four step-children: Thomas (Cheryl) Griffiths, Mosinee, WI; Steven (Beth) Griffiths, Burlington, VT; Ann (Joe) Probst, Appleton, WI; Jon (Cari) Griffiths, St. Francis, WI; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, siblings Therese Cooper, Fruita, CO; Paul (Ilene) Kronschnabel, Dousmann, WI; Daniel (Paula) Kronschnabel, Aurora, MO; and Margaret (Bob) Evans, Fruita, CO.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Gerald and Peter, and her first husband, Lloyd.
