Donald S. McGlin, age 80, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in Florida. He was born July 26, 1929, son of the late Sherman and Nora (Doehling) McGlin. On May 15, 1948 he married Verna Hintz in Black Creek.

Don worked at Western Condensing, Red's Tires, Standard Lumber and retired from Miller Electric. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Center. Don started the Hip and Knee Dinner Dance. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida, dart ball, woodworking, knitting, hunting and fishing, and loved playing cards.

Survivors include his wife Verna; sons and daughters-in-law: Carl (Cindy) McGlin, Seymour; Gary (Debbie) McGlin, Black Creek; Timothy McGlin, Black Creek; Shirley McGlin, Black Creek; eight grandchildren: Jeff McGlin, Jodi (Steve) Dorsey, Ron (Barb) McGlin, Jerry McGlin, Melissa (special friend Mike) McGlin, Lori McGlin, Michael McGlin, and Andrew McGlin; six great-grandchildren: Brady, Callie, Lindsey, Brandi, Hailey and Trinity; sister-in-law, Mary Jane McGlin, Appleton.

He was preceded in death by a son Dennis and an infant son, granddaughter in law, Kaye, 4 brothers, LeRoy, Robert, Lyle and Ervin.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour from 4 PM until 8 Pm on Monday, April 19, 2010 and Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at St. John's Evangelical Church, Township of Center from 9:30 AM until services at 11 AM with Pastor Jeffery Suhr and Pastor Micha Martin officiating. Grandpa,
Thank you for all the mittens and slippers you made us. Also, thanks for always being there for us. But most of all, thank you for all the wonderful memories you leave with us. We will miss you and love you,
