Dorothy Garsow Boehm, age 87, of Seymour, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born September 27, 1927 in Ryder, North Dakota, daughter of the late Henry and Marie (De Goey) Van De Bruggen.
Dorothy moved with her parents to Oneida when she was 6 years old.
On June 1, 1946 she was united in marriage to Frank Garsow at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida in a double marriage ceremony with her sister Mary. Frank preceded her in death September 28, 1993. Frank and Dorothy bought the Golden Bar in Seymour in the spring of 1958, nine months later it was destroyed by fire. This is how Frank's Supper Club was founded, now known as Krabbe's Kountry Klub in Seymour. She married Thomas Boehm on November 25, 2000 he preceded her in death July 31, 2014.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour.
She is survived by her children: Jeanne (John) Kroner, Chub (Sue) Garsow, Janice (Richard) Grych, Judy (Dan) Schuh and Jeff (Tammi) Garsow; grandchildren: Paula, Jess, Kyle (Jessica) Kroner, Steven (Terri) Garsow, Tricia (Greg) Tellock, Amy (Rick) Thomas, Becky (Dean) Rozmiarek, Jennifer (Herb) Fletcher, Sarah (Norman) Romine, Joey Grych, Garrett and Shelby Schuh; son-in-law, Buzz Heagle; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ethel Garsow.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter, Joanie; brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral mass at 12 noon with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Entombment will take place in Allouez Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at
