Dorothy Hawley

Dorothy M. Hawley, age 78, of Seymour passed away on December 16, 2011. She was born January 21, 1933 to the late Henry and Laura (Boser) De Bruin.

Dorothy was born and raised in Little Chute. In February of 1959 she married Tom Hawley. The couple eventually settled in Nichols where they operated Tom and Dorothy's Bar (Tom's Never In) until retirement.

Sundays were always Packer Sunday for Dorothy. She was a very avid Packer fan and watched the games right up until last Sunday. Go Pack Go!

Dorothy enjoyed jigsaw puzzles with her friends at Hillside Apartments in Seymour where she had resided for the past 13 years.

She is survived by her four children: Sherry (Jody) VandeCorput, Hofa Park; Jeff Hawley, Bloomington, MN; David and Charles Hawley, Nichols. Further survived by four brothers: Robert (Janice) De Bruin, Kaukauna; Gordon De Bruin, Carter, OK; Harold (Carol) De Bruin, Pulcifer; Victor (Jean) De Bruin, White Lake, WI; two sisters: Elaine (Casey) Van Cuyk, Combined Locks, and Judy (James) Menting, Little Chute. Also survived by a half-sister Evelyn (Martin) Van Schyndel, Kaukauna; two sisters-in-law: Mary Ann De Bruin, Green Bay, and Juanita De Bruin, Appleton.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her only grandchild Patty Scheelk; five brothers: Donald, Toby (Pat), Lloyd, Lee, and John De Bruin; half-brother Melvin (Virgie) De Bruin; two half-sisters: Clara (Roman) Simon and Genavieve (Henry) Van Schyndel.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, December 19, 2011 from 9 AM until services at 12 noon with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place in the South Cicero Cemetery.
