Dorothy Thomas, age 78, of Seymour passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 15, 2024 at her residence.
She was born on February 1, 1946 to the late Carl and Lillian (Marsolais) Naas. She met her husband Lowell Thomas in Walnut Creek, CA and they were married on May 20, 1984. They moved back to Wisconsin in 2004.
Dorothy, affectionately called "Dot" by her friends, had a deep love for animals, nature, and spending time in the great outdoors. She was the proud owner of two adorable cats, Crickette and Charlie, and a gentle horse named Shiloh, with whom she enjoyed going on trail rides with her friends. Dorothy also had a passion for gardening, where she would plant beautiful flowers, grow juicy tomatoes, and feed and watch the birds. Additionally, she loved going bowling and spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her children: Kristin (John) Leary and Elizabeth Heffern; grandchildren Paul and Kathleen Leary, step-children: Terry, Linda, and Steve Thomas; grandson, Chris (Bev) Thomas; great-granddaughters: Kennedy and Lexi; sister, Carlyn Wehrheim; brother-in-law, Frances Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell Thomas; brother-in-law, and Robert "Bob" Wehrheim.
Per Dorothy's wishes no service will take place. Burial will take place at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Seymour. Dorothy will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
