Our beautiful Mother, Dorothy VanDenLangenberg, 88, Seymour, was reunited with the love of her life and the rest of her Heavenly family on March 16, 2015. She was born June 20, 1926 to Clara and Henry Kuske. On August 10, 1946, she married her true love, Jim VanDenLangenberg. They raised a family of 11 children together and had 49 years of marriage when Jim preceded her in death on October 1, 1995.
Dorothy loved spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, watching the birds (she especially loved cardinals), playing cards, and gardening. She could look out the window and name every flower and bird out there, and hated to see an empty bird feeder.
She will be fondly remembered and missed by her children: Joan (Don) Hansen, Oneida; Jean (Ron) Best, Sparta, TN; Dave (Patti), Green Bay; Randy (Denise), Seymour; Dar (Mike), Seymour; Wendy Wilcox, Seymour; Mary Lynn, Seymour; Marty (Judy), Seymour; Kerri (Mark) VanDeHei, Seymour; and Roxann (Ken) Badtke, Pulaski. She is further survived by her 27 grandchildren and their spouses; 20 great-grandchildren; her sister, Lorraine Bessert; and sister-in-laws: Karen Kuske and LaRose VanDenLangenberg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; son, Dan; grandsons, Doug Hansen and Jimmy VandeVoort; great-granddaughter, Aliyah VandeVoort; sister, Bernice Laha; brothers, Henry Jr., Melvin, and Merlin Kuske; and many sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
Friends can call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. and visitation will continue on Friday, March 20, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida from 9:30 a.m. until the mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. with Fr. John Chrysostom Katamba officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at

Every time we see a cardinal, we will know you are still with us, reunited with Dad, watching over us and guiding us from Heaven. We will miss and love you forever!
The family would like to thank the staff of Shepherds Inn for their loving care over the years.
