Dorothy Zanskas

Dorothy Mae (Heuser) Zanskas, age 77, of Appleton passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon, July 9, 2012. She was born September 28, 1934, daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn (Yager) Heuser. Dorothy was a volunteer for Hospice, worked at the voting center on election day, and volunteered at the Thompson Center in Appleton. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Appleton.

Survivors include her children: Diane (Alan) Thompson-Madison, Boulder, CO; Linda (Tom) Goss and their children, Kalana and Cooper, Winneconne; Alan (Becky) Schmidt and their daughter, Annika, Appleton; brother, Phil (Jan) Heuser, Green Bay; brother-in-law, Donald Melotte, Seymour; sister-in-law, Judy (John) Trow, Green Bay; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Melotte; and two brothers, William and Robert.

Friends may call on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, from 9 AM until services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mary Bauer officiating. Burial will take place in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Seymour.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
