Edward Krohlow

Edward O. Krohlow, age 96, of Black Creek, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour, WI. He was born November 24, 1917 in the Township of Lessor, Shawano Co., son of the late Robert E. and Bertha (Gother) Krohlow.
Edward farmed the family farm of three generations until his retirement.
Edward spent four years serving in the Air Force in WW2. He was a member of the American Legion of Black Creek. He was an avid sports fan, playing baseball for Navarino twenty some years. He also enjoyed hunting deer, fox and pheasant. A willing worker, Edward served six years on the North Cicero Cemetery Board as secretary and treasurer. He served nine years on the Church Council at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the last three as President. He served three years as Vice President on Crystal Springs Golf Course Board in Seymour.
After his retirement he spent twelve years driving school bus for Huettl Bus Corp. for the Seymour School System. He also took up golf (he loved it) playing as often as four or five times a week.
Edward was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Cicero to which he donated generously.
He is survived by his two sisters-in-law: Adeline "Pudge" (Oliver) Lerum and Gloria Krohlow; thirteen nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and their husbands, Irene (Elmer) Conradt and Gladys (Ivo) Huettl; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Edgar (Ruth) Krohlow, Byron Krohlow and Robert "Bob" Krohlow.

Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cicero on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for Immanuel Lutheran Church of Cicero has been established in Edward's name.
