Edwin "Babe" R. Lange Sr., age 90, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011, at the Veteran's Home in King. He was born in Mosinee on April 25, 1920, son of the late William and Laura (Harris) Lange. He resided in Wausau until 1967 when he and his family moved to Janesville, Wisconsin.

Ed was employed with Janesville Products until his retirement. He was a World War II Army Veteran and has resided at King Veterans Home for the past three years. Ed was a member of the Beloit Assembly of God Church..

Ed enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, playing cribbage, time spent with his family and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ed also enjoyed spending time at the hunting cabin with his son Butch; proud to have his daughter Tammie and son-in-law Phil as pastors; and enjoyed sharing Army stories with his son Brian. God and Church were one of the biggest parts of Ed's life.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years Doris Jane, King; and their children: Edwin (Lorraine) Lange, Jr, Janesville; Brian (Heike) Lange, Akron, OH; Tammie (Phil) Engle, Seymour; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Melvin Lange and Al (Lucille) Lange.

Ed was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Friends may call at the First Assembly of God Church, 1420 Berlin Street, Waupaca, WI 54981 on Saturday, March 5, 2011 from Noon until services at 2 PM with Pastor Rich Engle officiating. Burial will be at King Veterans Cemetery, King. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family.
