Elaine Schaumberg, age 87, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Aurora BayCare in Green Bay with her family by her side.
Elaine was born on April 12, 1934 a daughter of the late John and Cecelia Smith.
She was united in marriage to Maynard Schaumberg on November 30, 1957. They celebrated 50 years of marriage together. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2008.
Elaine loved gator rides around the farm, going out for Friday fish, Sunday drives, playing cards, and most importantly spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Glen (Kate) Schaumberg, Jolene VandeVoort, Pam (Brent) Hoppe, Mary Schaumberg, and Kim (Mark) Krahn; 11 grandchildren: Jacob, Ty, Holly, Jayna, Kaylin, Skyler, Kari, Kyle, Mercedez, Matthew, and Ashley; and 3 great-grandchildren: Makayla, Talan, and Kenley. Further survived by a sister-in-law, Gladys Schaumberg; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Fay Ann; son-in-law, Mark VandeVoort; brother, Eugene (Delores) Smith; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Marie (Gordon) Bunkleman ,Margaret (Maurice) Barclay, Florence (Herbert) Rusch, Vivian (Marvin) Druckrey, Dorothy (Carlton) Stellmacher, Bernice (Jim) Riehl, Beatrice (Frank) Murphy, Gerald Schaumberg, and Francis Biel.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery.
