Eleanor Sobiesczyk

Eleanor Sobiesczyk, 92, of Town of Lessor, passed away Friday morning, December 11, 2015 at Forest Glen Assisted Living, Seymour. She was born May 22, 1923, daughter of the late Stanley and Theresa (Styczynski) Jankowski. On March 6, 1943, she was united in marriage to Alvin Sobiesczyk. He preceded her in death December 22, 2004.
The couple purchased the family homestead in the Town of Lessor and farmed it until they retired and still resided there. Eleanor loved her home, garden, flowers, and farm animals. She enjoyed time spent with her family, especially on holidays when all would gather for a holiday meal. She also loved to read and listen to polka and country music. She will be remembered for her kindness.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Navarino.
Eleanor is survived by her children: Sophie (Gerald) Mastey, Gloria (Jack) Betley, Ellen (Gary) Raymakers, Anthony (Jacky) Sobiesczyk ; grandchildren: Julie, Michelle, Darin, Jeffery, Barbara, Tom, Tony, Paula, Susan, Adam, Amy, Tony, Alan, and Shelby; 32 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Alvina; grandson, Daniel Raymakers; grand son-in-law, Keith Witthuhn; two brothers and one sister; and Alvin's immediate family
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Navarino on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. with the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Fr.
