Elizabeth "Betty" L. Birling, age 67, of Seymour passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center, Green Bay. She was born September 12, 1947, daughter of late Orvell and RoseMarye (Mory) DeBruin.
On October 28, 1967, she was united in marriage to Thomas Birling at St. John Catholic Church in Seymour. He preceded her in death December 11, 2012.
Betty was an active member of St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour and had a love for music. She farmed with her husband Tom in Black Creek for years and later worked at various jobs always that were interactive with people. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking and cooking and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her children: Tony (Pam) Birling, Andrew Birling; Amy Birling and her son Zachary; and Amanda (Andy Herrell) Birling; brothers and sisters: David (Mary) DeBruin, Steve DeBruin, Debbie Rosin, Dennis DeBruin. Further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law: Michael (Jean) Birling, Ron (Jane) Birling, Cathy (Gary) Westerman, Mary Brown, Betty Harris, Carol Birling; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alex and Elsie Birling; sisters-in-law, Sharon and Patti DeBruin; brothers-in-law: William Birling, Richard Brown, and Rod Harris.
Friends may call on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour from 3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. with Fr. Brian Belongia officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Betty's name.
