Elizabeth "Libby" Leigh Dorn, 58, of Shawano, passed away Monday morning, October 5, 2015 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. She was born in Ohio December 20, 1956, daughter of the late Harold and Jane Steele.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Green Bay.
Libby attended Dublin High School, The Ohio State University and St. Norbert College. She was currently employed as the Executive Director at Trees for Tomorrow, Inc., and Fields Director at Brown County UW-Extension, Adjunct instructor at Fox Valley Technical, National Training Specialist at University of Wisconsin-Extension, Project Manager/Project Liaison at University of Wisconsin Extension. Libby was Director out at Fallen Timbers Environmental Center for 25 years, she love teaching kids and adults about the environment. She enjoyed kayaking, camping, hiking, being outdoors, traveling, enjoyed cheering on the Ohio Buckeyes and the Green Bay Packers. Always smiling and seen only the good in everyone, one of the kindest people you'd ever meet. Libby especially enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend, Mark, two dogs, "Chase and Jethro", and her cat, "Kitten". Also time spent with her daughter, Athena and son-in-law, Jake.
She is survived by her daughter, Athena (Jacob) Shepard; special friend, Mark Martin and his children, Bettina and Shaun; sister, Mary (Tom) Callahan; nephews: Jon, Tim, and Tony Callahan; sister-in-law, Rita Steele and her children; ex-husband, Tom Dorn.
Libby is preceded in death by her brother Rob Steele; in-laws: Ruth and Robert Dorn.
Friends may call at First United Methodist Church, 501 Howe Street, Green Bay on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 1 p.m. until services at 3 p.m. with Pastor Dave Wilkinson officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at
