Ella A. Henning-Conant, 79, Black Creek, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 7, 2010, at Appleton Health Center. She was born December 12, 1930, daughter of the late Carl and Emma (Weigelt) Ulman. On October 3, 1953, she was united in marriage to Arvon Henning. He preceded her in death June 3, 1992. On December 12, 1999, she was united in marriage to Roy Conant.
Ella was a member of St John's United Church of Christ in Black Creek and was active in the Choir, Council, Cemetery Committee and Women's Guild. She enjoyed polka music, her gardens and flowers, taking trips, cooking and dancing.
Surviving Ella is her husband, Roy; children: Debbie Henning, Appleton, Don (Diane) Henning, Black Creek, and David (Lori) Henning, Seymour; 6 grandchildren, 1great-grandchild, 11 step-children, many grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel (Harvey) Beyer; brother, Ervin (Ginny) Ulman, both of Greenville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Shirley (Merlin) Heiden, Donna (Ralph) Schmidt, and Judy Samson, all of Black Creek. Preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christy; infant brother; a sister, Esther (Henry) Groeschel; and brother-in-law, Marvin Samson; and sister-in-law, Rosie Groeschel.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at St John's United Church of Christ Black Creek at 11 A.M. Friends may call at the church from 9 A.M. until the time of services with Pastor Don Baumann officiating, burial at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
