Elmer F. Lettau, age 95, of Shiocton, went to his heavenly home on Friday, December 28, 2018. He was born on April 10, 1923 in Birnamwood, son of the late William and Alma (Treptow) Lettau. He was united in marriage to Doris Block on December 2, 1944 in Birnamwood and she preceded him in death in 1981. On October 9, 1982 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Henrickson in Seymour. She preceded him in death in 2016. Elmer farmed in Manawa for 23 years. He then worked at the Seymour Flour Mill for 18 years retiring in 1988 and then moved to Shiocton. He was a member of Messiah Ev. Lutheran Church in Shiocton.
He is survived by his children: Nancy Patri, Green Bay; Bob (Mary) Lettau, Bear Creek; Gary (Kris) Lettau, Waupaca; Daryl (Janice) Lettau, Seymour; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Deloris Lettau Birnamwood. He is further survived by step-children; step-grandchildren; step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Doris in 1981; his second wife Dorothy in 2016; his brothers, Raymond and Leonard Lettau and son-in-law, Orval Patri.
The Christian Funeral for Elmer will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Ev. Lutheran Church in Shiocton with Rev. Bradley Ragner officiating. Burial will be in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour. A visitation for Elmer will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
