Emilynn Hietpas

March 30, 2023 — December 21, 2023

Emilynn AnnMarie Hietpas, 8 months old, of Seymour passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Emilynn was born on March 30, 2023 to Gregory and Elizabeth Hietpas.

A true hero, a fighter from the start. Born with a congenital heart defect called HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome). We knew both Emi and ourselves would be in a fight for her life. Oh boy did she fight, even at one point being at the brink of the edge and fighting to get a few more months. We promised her as normal of a life as we could. Basketball games, shopping, lights, no matter how long meds or machines took to prepare and load/unload. You did it baby girl and we are so proud of you. Run free, no more pain, cuts, or scars. We all can't wait to see you again one day. We love you always and forever.

She is survived by her parents: Elizabeth and Greg Hietpas; siblings: Larissa Hietpas, Hunter Stephan, Trevor Stephan, Ethan Hietpas, Kingston Hietpas, Jacob Hietpas, Oliver Hietpas; grandparents: Randy VanDerLinden, of Black Creek, Julie and Terry Uhlenbrauck of Appleton; multiple aunts and uncles, a cousin and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her angel sister, Ember Rose. I can't even imagine how much fun they will have together.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 1pm until 4pm at Jackson Point in Seymour.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations of rattles or small baby toys that they will donate to W3.

The family would like to thank some very special people at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin: Surgeon Michael Mitchell, Palliative Care Carrie Hecox and team, and Cardiology Care members Sara Creighton and Stephanie Handler. Without them Emi never would have seen home. Also, a mass of nurses, staff, PT, OT, Speech, Nuero, Skincare, Transplant, Child Life and many others. Thank you for giving our sweet girl a fighting chance.
