Appleton
Emro J. Plamann, age 69, passed away peacefully at Appleton Health Center on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. He was born November 4, 1940 to the late Emro W. and Caroline (DeWall) Plamann.
He was a graduate of Fox Valley Lutheran High School, and worked many years with Boldt Construction and Menasha Corp. Emro was an avid sports fan, playing and coaching for the Nichols baseball team for over 30 years, and he always looked forward to every Green Bay Packer game. In 1961 he was united in marriage to Sharon Krull. He loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren and looked forward most to time spent together as a family.
Survivors include his wife Sharon of 48 years, three children: Michelle Plamann, Dan Plamann, and Tracy (Pam) Plamann; seven grandchildren: Jesse Goerl, Tyler, Chad and Ashley Plamann, Breann Riehl, and Kaden and Teagan Massey-Plamann. He is further survived by four brothers: Jerry (Barbara) Plamann, Kay (Nancy) Plamann, Jon (Julie) Plamann, Mike (Janet) Plamann, and one brother-in-law, Robert (Deloris) Griffiths; four godchildren: Terry Plamann, Jerry Krull, Kelly Wussow, and Ryan Plamann, and many nieces, and nephews.
Emro is preceded in death by his parents Emro and Caroline Plamann, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Earl and Elsie Krull, and his sister Betty Griffiths.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 4 PM until 8 PM, visitation will continue at Cicero Immanuel Lutheran Church, N9580 County Road X, Town of Cicero on Monday, June 28, 2010 from 10 AM until services at 11 AM with Pastor Bill Schroeder officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Emro's name.
