Evelyn Adamski, 92, of Seymour, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, June 18, 2016 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born October 19, 1923, daughter of the late Valentine and Rose (Mecikalski) Bialozynski. At the age of 11 her mother died and she became mother and caretaker to her five younger siblings. On June 10, 1950, she was united in marriage to Richard Adamski. Evelyn and Richard farmed their entire life.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Hoffa Park. Family, gardening, flowers, cooking and letter writing were her enjoyment.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Richard of 66 years; her children: Carol (Alan) Van Straten, Shiocton; Mary (Ted) Penn, De Pere; Rick (Valarie) Adamski, Seymour; Jean (John) Strye, Deerfield, Ill.; seven grandchildren: Luke (Holly), Matthew (Dimitria), Sarah (special friend Grant), Andrew, Genevieve, Ryan, and Erin; four great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Maryann, Alice and Irene; sister, Helen (Roger) Rozmiarek; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by two grandchildren; siblings: Stanley, Dorothy, Frank, Genevieve, Therese and John; and her husband's twelve siblings.
Friends may call at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Hofa Park on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. until services at 12 noon with Father Brendan Wroblewski, O.F.M. and Father Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. officiating.
