Evelyn Muenster

Evelyn J. Muenster, age 87, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on August 17, 1921 to the late Joe and Emilie (Bolte) Merkel.

Daughter of a cheese maker; she married the late Elmo Muenster in June 1946 and moved to the farm on County C. She worked for Holidays in Seymour for several years and Seymour Canning for a couple of summers.

In 1990 Evelyn and Elmo retired from farming and moved to Appleton allowing them to do a little traveling. After Elmo's passing Evelyn moved to Black Creek and later to Meadow Wood in Seymour.

She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and a good game of Sheepshead. Evelyn was also a member of Freedom Moravian Church and the Friendly Services Circle of the Church.

Survivors include a son James (Ginger) Muenster, 2 sisters, a bother in-law and a sister in-law and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was proceeded in death by her husband Elmo, 1 sister, 3 brother in-laws and a sister in-law.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 6 PM until services at 8 PM with Reverend Jason Andersen officiating and entombment at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established.
