Evelyn Naparalla

Evelyn "Gramma" Naparalla, age 98, of Pulaski passed away peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, August 4, 2007, at her daughter's home in DePere surrounded by family and friends. She was born on January 22, 1909 in the town of Pittsfield to the late Clarence and Emma (Rose) James.

On October 24, 1932 she married the late Arthur Naparalla Sr. who preceded her in death on April 9, 1988. She was a lifelong resident of the area where she farmed with her husband until their retirement. Evelyn was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Navarino.

Gramma enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, picking berries, walking barefoot through the grass, and watching the sunset. She also liked to do quilting, crocheting, and taking pictures. Gramma also kept a journal for most of her life.

She is survived by her children: Imogene Toellner, Bonduel, Arthur Jr. (Mary Jane) Naparalla, Pulaski, Wayne Naparalla, Green Bay, Joan Van Dyck, DePere, and Phyllis (John Camarelo) Ditzman, Green Bay.

Gramma also has 19 grandchildren: Duane, Delbert, Dianna, Connie, Mary, Rick, Sue, Rodney, Denise, Michelle, Carrie, Chris, Kevin, Dawn, Mindy, Tiffany, Tim, Kurt, and Elise; 21 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren: Dale and Daniel Toellner; 2 son-in-laws: Leonard Toellner and Daniel Van Dyck; a daughter-in-law Lynn Nelson Naparalla; and her brother Carl James.

Gathering time with family and friends will be held at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 4 to 8 P.M., with a parish prayer service at 7:45 P.M.. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Navarino from 3:00 P.M. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 P.M. with burial in the parish cemetery. Father Theodore J. Hendricks will officiate.
