Fern Schroeder

Fern M. Schroeder, 90, of Seymour passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born December 16, 1922 daughter of the late Joseph and Martha (Hansen) Schmit. On June 6, 1941 she was united in marriage to Ludwig Schroeder. He preceded her in death in August 30, 1996.

Fern along with her husband farmed in the Town of Seymour until their retirement in 1984. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour and a member of Concordia.

Survivors include her children: Carol Schroeder-Puzen, Pulaski; Sandy (Bruce) Piette, Black Creek; Yvonne (Rick) Haws, Pulaski; Larry Schroeder (special friend Glenda), Seymour; Tim (Laurie) Schroeder, Pulaski; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 sister Irene Zuleger, Oneida; 1 brother Lee (Betty) Schmit, Seymour; sisters-in-law: Marion Schmit, Ruth Seefeld.

She is preceded in death by 1 grandson, Jason Schroeder and 1 granddaughter Rebekah Puzen; 1 brother Lavern "Bud" Schmit.

Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
