Fern Thomas

Fern (Eick) Thomas took her trip to heaven on Friday, June 4, 2010 with her loving family there to see her off.
She was born June 30, 1938 to Orville and Nora (Gregorius) Eick.
She married Jerry Thomas on July 12, 1958.
Surviving her are her husband Jerry; her five children: Debbie (Steve) Johnson, Marty (Terri) Thomas, Patti Jones, Peggy Vandermoss, and Mike Thomas; her grandchildren: Travis (Bonnie) Leisgang, Tori (Alvin) Socha, Trudee Leisgang, Tom (special friend Tashia) Leisgang, Sam (Stacy) Thomas, Andy Thomas, Jayme (special friend Cole) Thomas, Megan and Jacob Vandermoss, and Ian Jones; great grandchildren: Peyton, Cael, Garrett, Brock, Thomas and Javon; "adopted" children: Dave (Stacey) Thomas and family, and Lyle (Tammy) Thomas and family, and Keith Thomas. Further survived by her brother Bob (Jan) Eick; sister-in-law Joan Reed; nephew Tim (Heather) Eick and family; nieces: Terri (Jim) Peters and family, Staci Eick and family. Also survived by so many dear friends and family including her "Pajama Party" gang.
Waiting to greet her at her destination were her parents; in-laws Roy and Ella Thomas; brother-in-law Wally Reed; niece Amy Reed; grand niece Melissa Peters; special friends Herb and Dorothy Vande Corput, Joan Porter, Gene and Mary Thomas, and other friends and family.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 3 PM until funeral services at 7 PM with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.
