Florence A. Birkholz, age 93, of Seymour passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born July 11, 1919 daughter of the late Frank and Amanda (Bartman) Planert. On August 28, 1937 she was united in marriage to Clarence J. Birkholz. He preceded her death on October 10, 1999.
After retiring from farming they moved to Seymour and enjoyed time spent fishing on Pelican Lake. Florence was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Black Creek all her life.
She is survived by three children: Sandra (James) Murphy, Florida; Nancy (Michael) Hallada, Green Bay; Wayne (Kristine) Birkholz, Seymour; five grandchildren: Pamela Murphy (John Verbeten), Sister Bay; Sara Murphy (Marc Capelle), San Francisco; Leann Murphy, New York; Patrick (Holly) Murphy, Nashville; Alicia (John) Kohlbeck, Green Bay; five great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Florence Planert, Black Creek.
She is preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Birkholz; one brother, Carlton Planert; two sisters-in-law: Leona (Roland) Landua; Florence Birkholz; two brothers-in-law: Roman Birkholz and Norman (Ruth) Birkholz.
Friends may call on Monday, October 8, 2012 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 101 S. Clark St. Black Creek from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gail Irwin officiating. Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Online condolences may be expressed at
