Florence "Flossie" M. Planert, 93, of Black Creek, passed away Monday evening, October 13, 2014 at Rennes Nursing Home in Appleton. She was born April 19, 1921 daughter of the late William and Mathilda (Spreeman) Bahr. On December 6, 1941 she was united in marriage to Carlton Planert in the town of Center. He preceded her in death on October 18, 2006.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Black Creek.
Florence and Carlton farmed in the town of Center on the family farm where Florence was born, until their retirement. Florence also waitressed at Mer and Jackie's for many years.
Florence is survived by two sons: Lee (Carol) Planert, Appleton; and Bruce (Karen) Planert, Freedom; daughter, Carla (Bill) Oskey, Kaukauna; five grandchildren: Lori (Bill) Fink, Corey (Tina) Planert, Eric (Sue) Planert, Ryan (Carrie) Planert, and Terri (Bruce) Romitti; 10 great-grandchildren. Further survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Marie (Ted) Wolfgram and Gertrude (Clarence) Schucknecht; two brothers: George (Gertrude) Bahr and August (Hilda) Bahr; two sisters-in-law: Florence (Clarence) Birkholz and Gladys (Roman) Birkholz.
Friends may call at St. John's United Church of Christ, Black Creek on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 10 am until the funeral service at 12 noon with Pastor Mark Schwinn officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Online condolences may be expressed at
