Frances (Pivonka) Van Dreel, 87, of Hobart passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 peacefully at home with her daughter, sister-in-law Beverly, and special friend Irene Marion, by her side. She was born on October 11, 1935 to the late Wencel and Agnes (Kust) Pivonka.
Fran was a graduate of Oconto Falls High School.
On June 18, 1960 she was united in marriage to Robert Van Dreel at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2018.
Fran was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida.
She enjoyed making rag rugs, going to the cabin in St. Germain, attending the various Packer related tv and radio shows in the Green Bay area, and taking her Sunday car rides. The most important thing to her was her family.
Fran is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Dave) Van Dreel-Ports; grandchild, Trevor (Mikayla Heuvelmans) Vaile; step-granddaughters: Kathryn (Zach Hintz) Ports and Stephanie (Nick Zwieg) Ports. She is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Richard (Jean) Van Dreel, Bernard (Mary Lou) Van Dreel, and Beverly Pieschek.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses: Mary Pivonka, Joe Pivonka, Anna (Leo) Valenta, Helen (Robert) Magee, Emily Pivonka, Julia Zellmer, Anthony (Ila Mae) Pivonka, Loddie (Lorraine) Pivonka, Josephine (Gerald) Feltus, Caroline (Donald) Wagner, Elizabeth (Richard) Landvatter; and brother-in-law, Gerald Pieschek.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home in Seymour from 4:00 pm until the parish prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oneida from 9:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am with Fr. Paul Paider and Deacon Bobby Doxtator officiating. Entombment will take place at Ft. Howard Memorial Park in Green Bay.
