Francis Hooyman

Hooyman, Francis “Herb” “Herbie” “Yogi” age, 68 passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Francis was born June 5, 1949, son of Herbert and Agnes (Peeters) Hooyman. Francis retired after 40+ years from Graphic Packaging. He was an avid Knights of Columbus member and a true friend to many.

Francis is survived by 10 siblings: Jim (Joy) Hooyman, Shiocton; Jerry (Lorraine) Hooyman, Shiocton; Mary Sue (John) Schmude, Missouri; Jean (Jerome) Schroth, Shiocton; Rita (Dan) Schroth, Shiocton; Elaine (Dan) Conradt, Shiocton; Paul (Connie) Hooyman, Shiocton; Carla (Allan) Chizek, Black Creek; Bill Hooyman, Shiocton; Bonnie Hooyman, Shiocton; along with numerous nieces and nephews. And we can’t forget his companion “Penny” the cat.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a brother, Robert Hooyman, a sister, Joan Hooyman and a nephew, Zachary Chizek.

Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton with Father Richard Allen and Deacon Ken Bilgrien celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
