Fred W. Lemke, age 76, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, December 8, 2008 at Shawano Medical Center. He was born February 10, 1932 to the late Fred Sr. and Ella (Boelter) Lemke. On May 9, 1959 he was united in marriage to Betty Grunwaldt in Black Creek at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Celebrating 49 years of marriage together.
Fred retired from James River Corporation as a Crew Chief Journeyman Electrician and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Fred was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Center. He enjoyed riding anything that had a motor in it and also loved hunting, fishing and time spent in the outdoors. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife Betty, his children: Tom Lemke, Hortonville; Jeff (Roz) Lemke, Seymour; Terrijo (Ron) Kilgore, Appleton; grandchildren: Shelby, Austin, Jenny, Brandon, Staci, Kaitlan and Marc; 3 sisters: Adeline Luedtke, IL; Bea Nobbe, Neenah; Helen Duran, Appleton; 1 brother, Orville (Sue) Lemke, Green Bay.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Don and Bob; 1 infant sister, Florence and 2 half sisters, Velma and Marie Buman.
Friends may call at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Center on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 2 PM until funeral services at 6 PM with Pastor Jeffrey Suhr officiating. Burial at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .
