Genevieve Schneider

Genevieve "Gen" D. Roskom Schneider, age 88, of Seymour passed away Thursday evening, July 4, 2013. She was born November 25, 1924 in Howard, daughter of Peter and Anna (Cumps) Roskom, who preceded her in death.
She spent her early years in Howard and Seymour, residing in Seymour since 1947. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Concordia Society, and did volunteer work. Gen liked doing crafts and making quilts at church.

On September 12, 1946 she married Gordon Schneider who preceded her in death in December, 1986.

Surviving are two sons, Randy (Nancy) and Mark (Lea Ann), and daughter Debbie (Bill) Sutliff. Grandchildren: Jeff, Jody, Teri, Jericho, and M'Kallyn; great-grandchildren: Cody, Alex, Danielle, Owen, Madalynn, Alyssa, and Emily. Further survived by one sister, Arvilla (Ted) Haase; brothers: Marcus (Dorothy), Donald (Shirley), Claude (Gladys), and Levi (Alice); sister-in-law Rita Roskom, and special niece Bea Diedrick.

Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents are brothers: Shorty, Earl (Ruby), Leo (Eunice), Arnold (Verona), and Floyd.

Funeral services for Gen will be on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 9:30 am until services at 11 am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
