Geraldine M. Spaude, age 94, Seymour, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2010, in Appleton. She was born May 4, 1915, in Greenleaf, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Hawk) Radder. On February 6, 1937, she was united in marriage to Earl Spaude in Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1995.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she was a past member of the Concordia Society and the ELCA Women and she crocheted prayer shawls. She was also an avid swimmer and sports enthusiast, following her great-grandchildren's sporting events and her beloved Packers. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, music and talking to friends and family on the phone.
She is survived by her children: Judy Spaude, Seymour; Darlene (Martin) Van Lishout, Valders; James (Joyce) Spaude, Fallon, NV; Mark (Barbara) Spaude, Appleton; Cindy (Harold) Haak, Sturgeon Bay; Chris (Vern) Guyette, Mountain; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters: Germaine Eisch, Green Bay; Dolores (Clarence) Huth, Fort Myers, FL; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Earl Eugene; four brothers: Clifford, Boyd, Jack and Loyal; and four sisters: Irma, Priscilla, Ione and Loretta.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, on Friday, April 23, 2010, from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating.
