Gloria Jorgensen

Gloria A. Jorgensen, 78, of Seymour passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Shepherd's Inn in Seymour. She was born March 14, 1936 a daughter of the late Benjamin and Frances (Spiegel) Douglass.
On June 27, 1970 she was united in marriage to James Jorgensen in Dayton, OH celebrating over 44 years of marriage.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Seymour.
Gloria was a registered nurse and retired from St. Mary's Hospital in 1994. Following retirement Gloria and James moved to Eagle River for several years before residing in Seymour.
She had many hobbies that include doing various crafts, rosemaling, genealogy, and knitting. Time spent with her family and grandchildren was the most important thing to her. She was always the caregiver of the family.
Gloria is survived by her husband, James; two daughters: Andrea (Tom) McKeever, Hortonville; Lora Robinson, Seymour; seven grandchildren: Justin, Jonathan, Faith, Patrick, and Kristin Robinson, Kyle and Megan McKeever; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Douglass; Black Creek; Effie Douglass, Dayton, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and James Douglass.
Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Online condolences maybe expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Gloria's memory.
Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
