Gordis Mae "Gordie" Beilfuss, 87, of Lakewood, formerly from Seymour, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly Saturday, July 16, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, with her family by her side. She was born May 24, 1929, daughter of the late Harold and Marie (Kroening) Raaths. On June 3, 1950, she was united in marriage to Wallace Beilfuss and they had 66 wonderful years of marriage together.
She is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Townsend; an active member of AARP, and a volunteer in many capacities. She loved to crochet, flowers, gardening, berry picking and WORK. She also enjoyed exercising at Tri-Fitness in Lakewood with Wally, bowling, socializing and traveling with Wally on family vacations, and cooking. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Most of all she enjoyed her family and their dogs. She was known to the grandchildren as GG.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace; children: Barb (Tom) Luepke, Rhonda (Dale) Marsh, Dan (Ruth) Beilfuss, all of Seymour, Debbie (Kevin) Jones, Black Creek, Jim Beilfuss, Seymour, Mary (Phil) Wudtke, Bonduel; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sisters: Regis Westphal, Fond du lac, Karen (Earl) Brassow, Kimberly, Ruth Banaszynski, Kaukauna; sisters-in-law: Marge Peterson, Shawano, June Raether, Seymour, Violet Beilfuss, Bonduel, and Joyce Beilfuss, Cleveland.
Preceded in death by two sisters: Fay (Gilbert) Bonnin and Marie (Joel) Sauer; and brothers-in-law: Lenny Banaszynski, Lothar Westphal, Jerry Beilfuss, Bob Beilfuss, Ward Peterson, Bert Raether, Vernie Rosenow; sister-in-law, Lou (Vic) Radloff and special cousin and best friend, Pearl Raaths.
Friends may call at Muehl - Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and visitation will continue on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Stephen Mueller officiating. Burial will take place in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
A special thank you to all who rallied around Mom when Dad was sick, all her friends who meant so much to her, and everyone who showed kindness to our family.
