Gordon Prestby

Gordon M. Prestby, 93 of Appleton, passed away early Saturday morning, May 19, 2018 at Helen’s House in Appleton.

Gordon was born August 26, 1924, son of the late Theodore and Alma (Hesby) Prestby. On November 26, 1954 he was united in marriage to Ruth Heim. The couple celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Gordon was a World War II Army/Air Force veteran. He was an avid golfer, fan of the Green Bay Packers, and enjoyed nature and the outdoors.

Gordon is survived by his wife, children: Bob (Laurie) Prestby, John (Pam) Prestby, David Prestby, Mary Deichl (Paul Cappaert); 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild; former daughters-in-law Suanne and Jenny.

Gordon was preceded in death by an infant son Gerard and a grandson Zachary, 2 brothers Duane and Tony.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour from 4:00 pm until services at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Burial will take place in the future at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Navarino. Military rites will be afforded to Gordon following the service.

A special thank you to the staff of Helen’s House for the beautiful care given to Dad. The family also wants to especially acknowledge Mary and Paul who took such wonderful care of Dad, providing a loving home and caring presence for him until his last breath.
