Grace Vissers

GraceGrace E. Vissers, age 90, passed away Wednesday morning, March 5, 2014 at Shepherd's Inn in Seymour. She was born October 19, 1923 daughter of the late Fred and Nellie (Frank) Neuman. Grace was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oneida.
She graduated from Bonduel High School in 1941. On March 6, 1943 she was united in marriage to Henry Vissers in Oneida. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Grace loved traveling, making two trips to New Zealand, and trips to Hawaii and Australia. She also took every opportunity to have a dance with Hank.
Grace enjoyed most any sport. She especially followed Seymour High School sports, the Packers, and the Badgers. Counted cross stich was her favorite hobby, and she cherished the times spent with the great-grandchildren.
She was survived by her children: James (Violet) Vissers, Oneida; Glenn Vissers, Oneida; son-in-law, Len Zablocki, Hofa Park; two grandsons: Kenneth (Amy) Vissers and Brian Vissers; two granddaughters: Linda (Frank) Stefl and Cheryl (Dave) Wagner; four great-grandchildren: Ethan and Erin Vissers, Zeke Wagner, and Frankie Stefl. Further survived by her extended family: Barb Schevers, Patti, and Paula.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; daughter Betty Zablocki, and infant son Bobby; great-granddaughter Lilly Stefl; sister, Irene (George) Klement; brother, Elroy (Lucille) Neuman.
Friends may call at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oneida, on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. John Chrysostom Katamba officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery.
