Hadley Maass

May 31, 2018 — July 19, 2020

Hadley Maass, age 2, of Seymour passed away July 19, 2020 with her Mama by her side. She battled SJIA/HLH with all her might. Hadley was known by her family and hospital family as a fierce little firecracker. She had a special love for chickens, puppies and her blankets. Despite her illness not much slowed her down, she would spend hours and hours outside playing with Aussie, Nenny and her Buckbuck.

She is survived by her Mama and best friend, Ashley Helser; brother and sister: Austin and Kenley Helser; grandparents: Donna and Jerry Maass; a very special Aunt Sam and Uncle Cody; and her partner in crime, Thomas, a very special babysitter who loved Hadley as her own; Ryan Uhlenbrauck; granparents: Reed and Renee Uhlenbrauck; Nicki, Michael and Scarlet Zuiches; Courtney, Nick Vivienne and Mylah Wolfgram; she is further survived by lots of special family friends and extended family.

She is proceeded in death by her cousin Adaleena.

Hadley’s short time here on earth impacted so many people. She lived each day to the fullest and taught us how valuable life really is.

So much love and gratitude to Kristen Lundine and Jess, Dr. Nocton, Jane and the Rheumatology department, West 5 Doctors, NP’s and nurses especially Art, Kristen, Amanda, Karen, and a real special resident doctor who touched our hearts, Dr.VanGalder. And last but not least our BMT family. A HUGE THANK YOU to Dr. Margolis, Dr. Talano, Dr. Phelan, Sid, Bobke (as Hadley would yell) Miranda , Kellyn, Dr. Chao. Dr. Moskop and Dr. Kudek, Anabel, Anna, Julie, Bridg, Nicole, Brooke and all the rest of the AMAZING nurses on the HOT unit.

Big thank you to my parents, brother and sister-in-law for keeping things in check at home the last 9 months.

Thanks to the Arneson, Tellock and Helser family for helping with Austin and Kenley.

Big Thanks to my wonderful coworkers for all your love and support.

Goodbyes are not forever goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean I will miss you until we meet again.

Fly high baby girl you are finally pain free. We LOVE YOU more than ever Mama, Aussie and Nenny.

In honor of Hadley please wear pink or purple or team Hadley shirts.
