Haldor Daniel Erickson, Jr., age 77, of Pulaski, passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at his home. He was born October 2, 1934 to the late Haldor and Mollie (Hock) Erickson.

He served in the US Army following WWII and assisted in the rebuilding of Germany.

On June 29, 1963 he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Nikodem at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oneida. Haldor worked at Krueger International for 36 years before retiring in 1996.

Haldor loved fishing (he caught a 32 inch northern on Tuesday) and hunting, spent a lot of time gardening, loved his grandchildren, and had a soft heart for young people. He also enjoyed polkas and polka dancing with Mary Jane.

He is survived by his two sons: Tom (Carla), Grand Forks, ND, and Hal (Julie), Pulaski; three grandchildren: Eric, Joy, and Alex; a brother, Jacob Jerome (Lynn) Erickson, Pulaski; three sisters: Dorothy Martin, DePere, Mildred Johnson, Green Bay, and Clara (Leland) Pansier, Abrams; also survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Eugene; three brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM and again Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until services at 11 AM at the funeral home with Herb Teitgen officiating. Burial will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery, Laney.
