Harland Gunderson

Harland B. Gunderson, 83, Town of Maine, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at New London Family Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1931 a son of the late Benjamin and Edna (Sayers) Gunderson.
Harland was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Shiocton.
He served in the US Navy from 1954-1956 and a short time later returned home and began working on the family farm.
On June 13, 1959 he was united in marriage to Donna Greely in Leeman. Together with Donna he continued to operate the family farm in the Town of Maine until his retirement. Harland continued to help out on the farm for many years.
Harland took every opportunity to go for a drive and stop off to have breakfast. He also enjoyed listening to polka music and watching the Packer games.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; children: Lori (Bill) Westphal, Bruce (Rachel) Gunderson, Paul (Lisa) Gunderson, and Beth (Randy) Bergsbaken; 10 grandchildren: Jeremy (Andrea) and Matthew Westphal, Michelle (Ken Loewenhagen), Eric (Brianna), Brittany, Dominic, Garrett, Benjamin, and Gabrielle Gunderson, and Kyle Bergsbaken; seven great-grandchildren: Madeline, Makensie, and Gwenyth Westphal, Morgan, Parker, and Bryson Loewenhagen, and Oliver Gunderson. Further survived by his sister, Katherine (Bob) Wick; two brothers: John Gunderson and Leon (Donna) Gunderson; and Donna's family.
Harland is preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Bergsbaken; and 11 siblings.
Friends may call at Trinity United Church of Christ, Leeman, on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 12 noon until the funeral service at 2 pm with Pastor Moira Finley officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.
