Harold "Harry" D. Hill, age 86, of Seymour passed away Thursday evening, August 14, 2014 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. He was born May 15, 1928 son of the late Fred and Mary (Jordan) Hill. On November 27, 1948 he was united in marriage to Rose Timmers at St. John's in Seymour.
Harry was the youngest of eleven children and graduated from Seymour High School in 1947. He was very active in sports including football, basketball and track, after that he played and coached softball. Harold farmed in the Town of Oneida for twenty five years and then moved to Seymour and continued working for Outagamie County as a grader operator. Following retirement he worked at Kuehne's Sales Barn on Monday's for a few years.
He enjoyed following his children and then his grandchildren in their sporting events. He also attended many Packer games over the years. Harry enjoyed small game hunting, deer hunting in Long Lake and fishing, especially his trip to Canada.
Harry is survived by his wife, Rose of almost 66 years; children: Kathleen (James) Fosdick, Twin Lakes; Steven (Mary) Hill, Cecil; Scott (Linda) Hill, Germantown; grandchildren: Jason, Danielle and Nicole Fosdick; Robert and Stephanie Hill; Corey and Logan Hill; also surviving is Rose's family: Evelyn McGuiness, Leone Laskowski, Peter and Rose Timmers, and Shirley Hirshman; sisters-in-law: Sally Prahl, Helen Hill; brother-in-law, Henry Reigel.
Preceded in death by brothers: William, Robert, Howard, Fred Jr; sisters: Alma, Dorothy, Lillian, Alyce and Betty; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 4 p.m. until services at 8 p.m. with Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
