LATHROP, HAROLD H.
Harold H. Lathrop, age 93, passed away Friday afternoon, October 17, 2008 at his home. He was born January 16, 1915 son of the late Jess and Alma (Lehman) Lathrop. On October 12, 1940 he married Helen Marcks. She preceded him in death December 31, 2005.
Harold was employed for Murphy Construction (MCC) for over 60 years. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Black Creek. He was an extraordinary man, baking his first pie at 93. He enjoyed watching Packer and Brewer games and was an avid card player, loosing $1.25 last Tuesday. He lived life to the fullest.
Survivors include his daughter, Janice (Alex) Dommerich, Frederick, Maryland; one son, Gary (Carla) Lathrop, Appleton; grandchildren: Maria (Mitz) Hase, Phoenix, AZ; Amy (Trent) Wilson, Avon Lake, OH; great-grandchildren: Luke Hase, Taryn Wilson, Mac Wilson; two brothers: twin brother, Herb (Alice) Lathrop, New London; Bob (Bette) Lathrop, New London; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Lathrop, Appleton; and Lydia Scott, Orinda, CA.
Preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Smokey, one sister, Frances Peebles.
Friends may call Friday, October 24, 2008 from 4 PM until 7 PM at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home and Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 10 AM until services at 11 AM at St. John's United Church of Christ, Black Creek with Pastor Don Bauman officiating. Burial in South Cicero Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established.
