Harvey "Buddy" Albert Jr., 85 of Seymour passed away Wednesday morning, July 7, 2021 at home.
He was born on March 29, 1936 son of Harvey Sr. and Gertrude (Krause) Albert. Buddy had a long struggle with COPD (Farmer's Lung). He was a member of New Life Methodist Church in Seymour.
On January 2, 1965 he was united in marriage to Jean Barclay.
He enjoyed going to the Indy 500 races and going on the Methodist mission trips. In his younger years he was on the church dart ball team, and was active in the brotherhood.
He was a director in Farm Bureau and a director on the Seymour Co-op board. The Albert family was one of the 2011 Outagamie County's Century Farms established in 1896 and was recognized at the county fair.
Buddy is survived by wife, Jean Albert; three sons: Harvey III (Lynn), Eldon (Tina), and Brian (Erica); five daughters: Julie (Sam) Campbell, Summer (Andy) Peters, Trudy (Rob) Powelson, Cherie (John VI) Wood, and Susan (Russ) Tilot; twenty grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Harriet Wolk; three brothers-in-law: Michael (Linda) Barclay, Donald (Vonnie) Barclay, and Melvin (Barb) Barclay; sisters-in-law, Gail Barclay and Ann (Karl) Kuehl; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Harvey and Gertrude Albert; infant daughter, Faith and two infant grandchildren; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Maurice and Margaret Barclay, brother, Eldon "Hotch"; sisters: Bernadine Albert and Pearl Albert; brothers-in-law Terry, Maurice Jr. (Janet), and Arthur Wolk.
Friends may call at NEW Life United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11 a.m with Pastor Ho Lee officiating. Burial will take place at the Seymour City Cemetery.
