Harvey Dean Nelson, loving father and Grandfather, 78, of Black Creek passed away Wednesday night, October 17, 2007, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. He was born on January 28, 1929, the son of the late Edward and Edna (Flora) Nelson. On October 20, 1948 he married Jeannine Streeter in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death November 29, 2005. Harvey was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, Packer and Brewer games and professional wrestling.
He is survived by his children: Larry (Gloria) Nelson, Appleton; Gary (Laurie) Nelson, Appleton; Jeffery (Cheryl) Nelson, New London; Beverly Rihm (fiancee), Bruce Spaulding), Black Creek; Kevin (Dawn) Nelson, Greenville; David (Laure) Nelson, Appleton; Diana (Gordy) Lorenz, Shiocton; Scott (Sarah) Nelson, Sparta; grandchildren: Gary, Jr., Chelsea, Angela, Brandon, Michael, Jennifer (Jeremy), Nicholas, Eric, Samantha, Benjamin, Owen, Elijah, Jordan and Lucas; his step-grandchildren: Christopher and Kimberly Spaulding; his great-grandchildren: Totyanna, Mya, Payton and Olivia. He is further survived by one sister, Diane (Ronnie) Brenner, three sisters-in law, Dawnine Streeter, Donna (Darrell) Erdman, and Phyllis Farina, also, his nieces, nephews and his special dog Buttons.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannine, one sister, Yvonne (Ferge) Ferguson and two brothers-in-law.
Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour, on Sunday, October 21, 2007, from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral services at 3:00 P.M. The burial will be in the Sassman Cemetery, Town of Black Creek. Online condolences may be expressed at: www.boettcherfuneralhomes.com
