Hilary "Larry" Zander, age 78, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. He was born March 18, 1933, son of the late August and Casilda (Weber) Zander. On August 16, 1980 he was united in marriage to Emma Jean Smet. Larry was a Korean Conflict Air Force Veteran. He was a founding member of Challenge the Outdoors and past president. He had a love for the outdoors and was a teacher who helped people appreciate life and nature.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean, his seven children, twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and one sister.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, niece and brother-in-law.
A gathering and celebration of Larry's life will be held Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Zander Residence, W5539 Shady Road, Bonduel from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM with Sister Judy Miller and Deacon Don Coenen officiating.
