Ione E. Zahn, 75, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday evening, December 3, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 31, 1939, daughter of the late Arnold and Verona (Abel) Roskom. On September 13, 1958 she was united in marriage to Ronald Zahn. He preceded her in death December 14,1998.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour. Ione and her husband owned and operated SeeMore Liquor and Carpets and several businesses in Seymour, Shawano, Kaukauna and Kimberly. They farmed for several years in the Town of Black Creek. The best job she ever had was being a MOM and GRANDMA. She enjoyed polka dancing, gardening, card playing and attending numerous athletic events of her family for over 50 years.
She is survived by her children: Mark (Renee) Zahn, Seymour; Matthew Zahn, Seymour; Jeffrey (Sandy) Zahn, Black Creek; Diane (Michael) Olson, New Berlin; Randall, (Connie) Zahn, Seymour; Darin Zahn (Connie Wojcik), Seymour; Doug Zahn, Darboy; Steven (Staci) Zahn, Appleton; Arden (Michelle) Zahn, Seymour; Jeanne (Michael) Ver Voort, Seymour; Darlene Wesolowski (Jeff Crombie), Seymour; 26 grandchildren; siblings: Roger (Sandy) Roskom, Seymour; Dennis (Rosie) Roskom, Black Creek; Connie (Bob) Banker, Seymour; Allen (Cindy) Roskom, Appleton; David (Noreen) Roskom, Seymour; Linda Roskom, De Pere; Bill (Kay) Roskom, Black Creek; Carol Storma (Dennis), Seymour; Pat Marohl, (Doug), Shawano; Virginia Van Lannen Green Bay; adopted brother, Brian (Kelly) Diedrick; sister-in-law: Virginia Zahn, Black Creek; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers, Ron and Steve; niece, Marsha Roskom; nephew, Mike Roskom; brother-in-law, Gerald Zahn; sister-in-law, Norene Burton.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 2-6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. and visitation will continue at. St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Father Bob Kabat officiating.
