Irl Francis Berry, 88, of Appleton passed away Tuesday evening, August 21, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born November 2, 1923 son of the late Oral and Luella (Hicks) Berry. On August 24, 1944 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Hysen.
Irl was a World War II Air Force Veteran. He was an excellent wood carver who taught at the Thompson Center. He was a past floor covering installer and he was the owner of Irl Berry Flooring in Appleton. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; children: Wayne (Janet) Berry, Appleton; Linda (Jack) Pace, Rio; Susan Berry, St. Petersburg, FL; six grandchildren: Jodie (David) Siegel, Jeff (Maureen) King, Carl (Lisa) Kenas, Eric (Victoria) Kenas, Laura Berry, Sarah (Gerald) Crawford; four great grandchildren: Jasmine, Natalie, Isabella, Mason; sister, Oraletta Kailhofer, Seymour.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at
