James R. Abel, age 67, passed away Wednesday morning, December 17, 2008 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born November 12, 1941 in Green Bay, son of the late Ervin and Mary Beth (Powers) Abel.
He was an Army veteran and worked construction until being involved in an accident. He enjoyed gardening and following the Brewers. He liked shaking dice. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Navarino.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara (Kurt) Podjaski, Neenah; grandchildren: Joshua, Amanda and Casey; great-grandchildren: Jayden and Jacob; two brothers: Richard (Jackie) Abel, Bonduel; twin brother, Jerome (Ann) Abel, Bonduel; sister-in-law, Joan Abel, Black Creek; nieces and nephews; special friend Mike Nachtwey, Black Creek.
He was preceded in death by; brother, Robert Abel; sister, Betty Herb.
Friends may call at St. Lawrence Catholic Church from 9 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2008 with Sister Jane Riha and Father Theodore Hendricks officiating.
