James Berg

BERG, JAMES K.

James K. Berg, age 53, Clintonville passed away August 18, 2008 at the University of Michigan Hospital. He was born July 15, 1955 to Kathy (Hilgenberg) Berg and the late John Berg. On September 22, 2001 he was united in marriage to Leslie Hansen. He attended Seymour High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army for eight years. He worked at International Paper Mill in Kaukauna for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Clintonville.

Jim was a people person and remained in contact with most everyone he had ever met. He loved to hunt and fish where he lived by his motto: "bag'em and tag'em". Jim also loved golfing, cooking and loved spending time with his little man, Preston.

Survivors include: his wife Leslie; his five children: Melissa (Scott) Krug, Appleton; James Kerwin III; Matthew, Cathleen, Preston Aaron "Pood" Berg, all of Clintonville; two grandchildren, Sydney and Alexandria; his mother, Kathy (friend Dean); brothers, John (Diane), Seymour; Leland (Cristal), Port Washington; Larry, Seymour; Jeff (Jill), Seymour; Todd (Carol), Freedom; sisters: Jeannie (R.G.) Stathas, Sarasota, FL; Julia Coenen, Appleton; Layna ( Mike) Boland, Harper Ferry, IA. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and very close friends.

He was preceded in death by: his father, John; grandson, Ashton; brother-in-law, Cliff Coenen.

Visitation will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, August 22, 2008 from 4 PM until 8 PM. Visitation will continue at Calvary Apostolic Church, Clintonville on Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 9:30 AM until funeral services at 11 AM with Pastor John Soto officiating.
