James Holzer

James J. Holzer, 72, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at his home. He was born June 11, 1942, son of Vera (Sherwood) Holzer and the late John Holzer.
On September 14, 1963 he was united in marriage to Carol Jarosinski at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Hofa Park. She preceded him in death September 8, 2000.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour. Jim enjoyed fishing, horse pulls, always there to help friends and neighbors and enjoyed mowing many lawns over the years. He loved Polka music and listening to country classics.
Jim is survived by his children: Todd Holzer, Seymour; Nickell Schmit (Keith La Count), Seymour; Jennifer (Scott) Mc Dermid, Seymour; seven grandchildren: Joshua, Crystal (TJ), Miranda, Samantha, Courtney, Michael and Geoffery; three great-grandchildren: Madison, Kalab and Kylee; mother, Vera Holzer, Seymour; sister, Carol Daniel; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Walter (Dolores) Jarosinski, Edwin (Donna) Jarosinski, James (Elberta) Jarosinski, Brian (Lori) Jarosinski.
He is preceded in death by his father, one nephew; sister, JoAnn Puls; and brother-in-law, Marvin Jarosinski.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 4 -7 p.m. with services at 7 p.m. with Deacon Paul Grimm officiating. Burial will take place in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Seymour. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .
