James Manning

June 1, 1937 — March 8, 2012

James "Butch" Manning, age 74, of Seymour passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. On June 1, 1937 he was born in Racine to the late Frederick and Irene (Eisenhut) Manning.

Butch graduated from Lutheran High in Racine in 1955. On September 21, 1957 he was united in marriage to Sharon Boudreau at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Racine.

Following marriage Butch and Sharon raised their family in Racine before moving to Seymour following his retirement from Getty's in 2000.

He enjoyed going to the library several times a week and researching various topics. He was always very organized and structured with anything he did. Butch was also a very avid walker and enjoyed visiting with others and meeting new people. Spending time with family was very important to him.

In addition to his wife Sharon, he survived by his children: Robin (Mike) Uhlenhake, Seymour; Kathleen (Rick) Birkholtz, Wyoming; Kimberly (Rob) Steinke, Racine; James Fred Manning, Seymour; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister and two brothers.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

A private memorial service will take place. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
