Jean M. Birling, age 70 of town of Cicero passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She was born on September 27, 1954 to the late Floyd and Roseal (Dresang) Hauser.
Jean graduated from Shiocton High School in 1972. On July 17, 1976 Jean was united in marriage to Michael Birling at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton.
Jean and Mike dairy farmed in the town of Cicero where they raised their family. She continued working on the farm until her health forced her to retire, but still kept up with what was taking place on and around the farm. Jean was very proud of the farm and her family.
Jean enjoyed sending flowers, talking to family and friends on the phone, and sending out cards for every occasion.
She is survived by her husband, Mike; children: Tammy (Wes) Smith, Cindy (Craig) Evers, Jim (Sara) Birling, and Dan (fiance, Jenn) Birling; grandchildren: Wesley Jr. (Miranda) Smith and Jake Smith; Trent and Blake Duchateau; Myka, Matthew, and Lucas Birling; Natalie Koch and Hudson Ross. Further survived by siblings: Jan (Rob) Pankow, Ann (Rich) Ruppel, Bonnie (John) Peterson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Lucy Hauser, Cathy Westerman, Carol Birling; Betty Harris, and Ron (special friend, Char) Birling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Wendt; brother, Steve Hauser; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Elsie and Alex Birling; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gary Westerman, Rod Harris, Mary (Richard) Brown, Tom (Betty) Birling, and Bill Birling.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 3:00 pm until the closing parish prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at St. John Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 9:30 am until the funeral mass at 11:30 am with Deacon Rich Matuszak and Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
